some assembly required!: the halves that halve you in half.
I finally got to watch Like Crazy, which I had wanted to see for a really long while.
I adore Anton Yelchin and Jennifer Lawrence, and I’d heard such good things about it.
I was honestly a little disappointed. The movie wasn’t as good as I was expecting, but I think…
I think that’s the point. I think a lot of people experience that love that really isn’t healthy for them, but they want it so much and need it so much that they’re blind to everything else. Then while they’re away from each other they put each other on this pedestal. And if you think about it, the only time they got together was the honeymoon phase based entirely upon passion, and then she was gone.
So they just pined for each other. It’s hard to explain, but the film hit me really hard because I know that kind of love. They’ve based they’re whole lives on each other and have decided that they can’t be happy without each other, which is a dangerous thing to do. And the ending is what happens when that’s the case.
Anyways, it really broke my heart. It’s such a sad film.
